The purpose of this regulation is to prevent the ignition of combustible materials or flammable liquids. For this purpose, the following functional requirements shall be met: means shall be provided to control leaks of flammable liquids. Sight glasses of cylinders 2 and 5 of the main engine were cracked, resulting in a leak of fuel oil.

Before the ship leaves port and at all times during the voyage, all life-saving appliances shall be in working order and ready for immediate use. PSCO observed 15 out of 41 immersion suits unservicable due to deteriation.

The oil mist detector for main engine cylinders 1, 4, 5, & 6 were indicating a failed sensor.

Issuance of a Certificate of Compliance (COC). Foreign vessels of countries which are signatory to the international convention for the safety of life at sea, 1974, are issued a certificate of compliance (CG-3585) upon satisfactory completion of a compliance examination by the officer in charge, marine inspection. Vessel has been issued a letter of dispensation from Flag allowing the vessel to exceed the servicing intervals of the portable and fixed firefighting systems. The USCG COC document will be issued upon completion of all required firefighting systems servicing. Cargo operations within the U.S. waters is prohibited.

Rescue boat rudder insert has a small crack that is all the way through. Provide class report stating repairs are to original or like type.
