Performance of crew members assigned fire-fighting duties shall be periodically evaluated by conducting on-board training and drills to identify areas in need of improvement, to ensure competency in fire-fighting skills is maintained, and to ensure the operational readiness of the fire-fighting organization. PSCO safety concerns and lack of crew competency while conducting fire drill in the emergency generator space 10JUL25. Upon re-inspection on 14JULY25, prior to the fire drill, crew members were fatigued and one member of the crew left the vessel for medical attention regarding heat exhaustion and dehydration. External audit received by the Class Society BV noted 5 Major Nonconformities, an internal audit from the company shall be completed to address the appropriate corrective actions from all nonconformities.

The following fire protection systems shall be kept in good order so as to ensure their required performance if a fire occurs.: fire detection and alarm systems. PSCO observed a non-operative Hyper-mist system and fire detection in the purifier room. No spare were available. A Flag dispensation has been issued for the Hyper-mist and fire detection system for the vessel to sail to the next port in this condition with a manned space for the engine room.

The technical and/or operational nature of the deficiencies noted provide evidence of serious failure of the implementation of the ISM Code. External audit received by the class society, BV noted 5 major nonconformities.
