Resolution: The crew replaced the screen. When we went on the board the screen wasn't cracked and all was functioning as intended.
2045-Flanges of the loading and discharging manifold connections shall be provided with shields (for Phosphoric Acid). PSCO witnessed shields not in place while discharging cargo. - IBC Code 15.11.4

2045-(for Phosphoric Acid)-Provisions shall be made for suitable apparatus to detect leakage of cargo into adjacent spaces. C/O was unaware of detection procedures. He initall stated the vessel was using its fixed-gas detection equipment used to detect hydrocarbons. They fixed system is incapable of detecting cargo. He then stated he conducts ballast tank soundings every four days.IBC Code 15.11.7

Resolution: The Master and spuperintendant found the Company procedures for detecting cargo leak testing. Must be in two day intravals IAW SMS procedures. Master and Sup. conducted training with C/O in regards to cargo special requirements and company SMS procedures.
