0615 - Rescue boats shall have sufficient mobility and maneuverability in a seaway to enable persons to be retrieved from the water. PSCO observed steering test of the rescue boat, the vessel steering system was unable to successfully turn port from the main steering control station. Attempts to maneuver to port by the emergency steering leaver were successful, but only with significant force. 74SOLAS(2014 cons) LSA 5.1.1.7 (10c)
