"WHERE THE EMERGENCY SOURCE OF ELECTRICAL POWER IS A GENERATOR, IT SHALL BE STARTED AUTOMATICALLY UPON FAILURE OF THE MAIN SOURCE OF ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLY." VESSEL REPORTED THAT THEIR AUTOMATIC BUS TRANSFER SYSTEM WAS NOT FUNCTIONING AS INTENDED DUE TO INTERNAL SWITCH MECHANISM OF THE EMERGENCY GENERATOR BREAKER BEING MECHANICALLY DEFECTIVE. VESSEL CANNOT SHIFT LOAD ONTO THE EMERGENCY GENERATOR AUTOMATICALLY. THE VESSSEL HAS PROVIDED EVIDENCE OF PARTS BEING ORDERED AND ARRIVING IN SAVANNAH ON 27MARCH2026.

The purpose of this regulation is to prevent the ignition of combustible or flammable liquids ; the following functional requirements shall be met: means shall be provided to control leaks of flammable liquids. PSCO observed hydraulic oil leaking from number 2 steering pump during steering gear test.
