0950 - Electrical equipment in general -- Elec installations shall be installed to ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and ship from elec haz. Vessel had two chest freezers whose cords were draped throughout the overhead, hardwired to an ungrounded isolation transformer mounted to boards on a wooden table. Transformer's source is provided via a standard 120v receptacle. 74 SOLAS am II-1/40.1.3

Resolution: Received, reviewed and accepted class report / proper documentation from DNV-GL stating the deficiency was rectified. Class verified the removal of the transformer, portable freezer chests, and cabling.
