Rescue boats shall have sufficient mobility and manueverabilityin a seaway to enable persons to be retrieved from the water. Rescue boat engine was inoperable. witnessed multiple start attempts. Engine would start then shutdown after approximately 3 seconds then be unable to start again until spark plugs were cleaned.

Resolution: Bureau Veritas provided documentation attesting to the broekn engine being replaced as well as a coditional approval on the rescue boat engine while the ship provides additional information. See documents for amplifying information.
1270 The means for securing and maintaining weather tightness shall be to the satisfaction of the administration. The arrangements shall ensure that tightness can be maintained in any sea conditions. External doors on port side B and C deck are deteriorated.
