PSCO observed multiple light fixtures with loose wiring in cable glands. Additionally, 01 light fixture was found to have a cracked lens/cover and 02 light fixtures missing gas-tight clamps. 74 SOLAS 20 Ch. II-1 / Reg. 45.5.4

Where cables which are installed in hazardous areas introduce the risk of fire or explosion in the event of an electrical fault un such areas, special precautions against such risks shall be taken to the satisfaction of the administration. PSCO found multiple electrical deficiencies in the cargo pump room. Temperature sensors on the #1 ballast pump and #3 cargo oil pump were found to have exposed wiring. Multiple lighting fixtures in the cargo pump room were found to have exposed electrical wiring. Electrical cabling along the cargo pump room bulkhead had exposed wiring due to nicks or cuts in cable insulation. 74 SOLAS (14) II-1/45.5.4
