Each operation of the oily water separator shall be recorded in the oil record book. The VSL is equipped with a MEPC 107(49) Oil Content Meter. The records in the ORB do not match what is shown on the OCM. As explained to PSC by ships crew the OCM must be programmed prior to every use. Ships crew is not doing this.

Oil filtering equipment shall be provided with alarm arrangements as recommended by the organization. VSL is fitted with a MEPC 107(49) Oil Content Meter and is unable to produce the manual. Due to this they are unable to prove proper test procedures.
