Issued 4 May 2025 Resolved
Before the ship leaves port and at all times during the voyage, all life saving appliances shall be in working order and ready for immediate use. PSCO observed rescue boat steering arrangement being inoperable during aperational test. Steering was fixed by 2nd engineer by removing salt and lubricating arrangement.
Condition: Improper/Lack of Maintenance
Action required: 17 - Rectify deficiencies prior to departure
Resolved 4 May 2025
Resolution: Crew cleaned the steering rods. Fixed prior to end of inspection.
