0715: Function of fixed fire detection and fire alarm shall be periodically tested by means of producing hot air at the appropriate temperuature or smoke aerosole particulate. Vessel currently does not have appropriate testing materials. Without proper testing materials crew could damage flame, heat or smoke detectors using un-approved methods. 40c
