PSCO observed discrepancy between the bilge tank recorded sounding on the 14th of May and current sounding of bilge tank conducted by [name withheld] was stated to be due to operations requiring transferring bilge contents to bilge tank. However no entries were made in Oil Record book for 06 days prior to PSC A. Oil Record Book audit required. MARPOL Annex I, Regulation 17.4-17ac

Oil fuel pipes, which if damaged, would allow oil to escape from a storage, settling or daily service tank having a capacity of 500L and above situated above the double bottom shall be fitted with a cock or valve directly on the tank capable of eing closed from a safe position outside the space concerned in the event of a fire occuring in the space in which such tanks are situated. PSCO observed fuel quick closing valves for service generators No.2 and No.3 inoperable during test.
