Doors required to be self-closing shall not be fitted with hold-back hooks. PSCO observed that the escape trunk in the engine room had wooden blocks holding the doors open and that the handles did not latch the door once it was closed. SOLAS 74 (14) II-2/9.4.2.2 17a
