SO ARRANGED THAT THEY CAN BE OPERATED FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE BULKHEAD PSCO FOUND PORT SIDE AFT DOOR ON TOP DECK (DECK 12) LEADING TO VENT ROOM TO NOT HAVE OPERATING DOGS AND INSTEAD CLOSED WITH A LOOSE BOLT JAMMED IN LOCKING RING.

Hydraulic power operated steering gear shall be provided with arrangements to maintain the cleanliness of the hydraulic fluid. The steering gear was observed to have a steady leak of two to three drops per minute during operational test on both pumps. Resolution: PSCO observed the proper operation of the sterring gear without any leaks. However, vessel stated that no repairs were made.
