Where cables which are installed in hazardous areas introduce the risk of fire or explosion in the event of an electrical fault in such areas, special precautions against such risks shall be taken to the satisfaction of the Administration. PSCO observed significant deterioration of conduit in the following locations: #2 port and starboard cargo pump electrical conduit and junction box; cable junction box between #5 and #6 starboard cargo pumps; and the conduit flange aft of the #6 cargo radar electrical junction box. PSCO recommends a survey of the entire electrical conduit underneath the tankerman's access due to the severity and widespread corrosion. PSCO also observed wastage on the lighting electrical cable bulkhead penetration in vicinity of the aft cargo manifold. 74SOLAS(04) II-1/45.5.4 50ac
