oil fuel pipes, which, if damaged, would allow oil to escape from a storage, settling or daily service tank having a capacity of 500 L and above situated above the double bottom, shall be fitted with a cock or valve directly on the tank capable of being closed from a safe position outside the space concerned in the event of a fire occuring in the space in which such tanks are situated. PSCO tested 09 quick closing valves on board and found 05 located on #1 service tank to be inoperable.

For this purpose, the following functional requirements shall be met; means shall be provided to control leaks of flammable liquids. PSCO observed a fuel oil leak from 01 fuel injector on the emergency generator.
