The following systems must be equipped with alarms in accordance with 46 CFR 143.230(a-b): Auxiliary generator engine low lubricating oil pressure and auxiliary generator engine high cooling water temperature. Vessel’s auxiliary generators did not have a visible and audible means of monitoring oil pressure or cooling water temperature in the wheelhouse.
