All life-saving appliances shall comply with the applicable requirements of the Code. Except where otherwise stated, the normal equipment of every lifeboat shall consist of: portable fire-extinguisher equipment of an approved type and suitable for extinguishing oil fires. PSCO observed extinguisher in lifeboat, which was inspected by the crew on 29 Jan 22, found to be empty of charge. Crew replaced extinguisher with spare. 74 SOLAS (2020) III/34 LSA Code (2017) 4.4.8.28

Resolution: Vessel sent in required class report from [name withheld] stating damaged plugs were replaced, the thread were cleaned, greased and now handily screw.
