The condition of the ship and its equipment shall be maintained to conform with the provisions of the present regulations to ensure that the ship in all respects will remain fit to proceed to sea without danger to the ship or persons on board. Due to heavy weather, the vessel was pushed aground in Lower Mississippi river. Certification issuing authority to attest to the proper operation of steering gear, propulsion machinery and associated equipment, and integrity of the hull in affected area and hull penetration on port side. hull damage, stbd side fwd, 1.5-2ft horizontal crack, anchor, anchor chain fouled on one another.
