All survival craft shall be visually inspected to ensure that they are ready for use. PSCO witnessed lifeboat engine lubricating oil exceeding approximately 4 liters in the bilge surrounding the water rations, coating and submersing several. 74 SOLAS 2014 III/20.6.1

Resolved 28 December 2022
Resolution: Received, reviewed and accepted class report. Oil was removed from the bilge and area cleaned. Water rations were cleaned and replacements ordered. Lifeboat engine and reduction gearbox were verified for leaks, started, tested, and found in working order.

Oil filtering equipment referred to in paragraph 1 of this regulation shall be of a design approved by the Administration and shall be such as will ensure that any oily mixture discharge into the sea after passing through the system has an oil content not exceeding 15 ppm. PSCO found solenoid valve for the OCM fresh water/ sample inlet to be inoperative. MARPOL 1/14.6

PSCO observed the rescue boat davit was not able to go past 120 degrees when using the alternate means of power.
