A main source of electrical power of sufficient capacity to supply all those services mentioned in regulation 40.1.1 shall be provided. This main source of electrical power shall consist of at least two generating sets. Vessel reported to PSC that one of two generator sets onboard was inoperable requiring repair. Vessel must rectify the issue by 18 September 2022 in keeping with Flag Dispensation issued regarding the same which permits the vessel to operate with only one generator set.

Oil filtering equipment referred to in paragraph 1 of this regulation shall be of a design approved by the Administration and shall be such as will ensure that any oily mixture discharged into the sea after passing through the system has an oil content not exceeding 15 parts per million. In considering the design of such equipment, the Administration shall have regard to the specification recommended by the Organization. The accuracy of the 15 ppm bilge alarms is to be checked by calibration and testing of the equipment conducted by a manufacturer or persons authorized by the manufacturer and should be done at intervals not exceeding five years after its commissioning, or within the term specified in the manufacturer's instructions. 1299: All pipes to which this regulation refers shall be of steel or other equivilent material to the satisfaction of the administration. A ship which undergoes repairs shall continue to comply with at least the requirements previously applicable to the ship. PSCO observed temporary patches on piping serving the inlet and outlet of main engine coolers and inlet and outlet of evaporator. IICL 66 Article 10 and I/22(5

The fire detection system located on the bridge is inoperable.

1020- Fire Alarm-Any required fire detection and fire alarm system shall be capable of immediate operation at all times and no action by the crew shall be necessary to set it in operation. Hydraulic power-operated steering gear shall be provided with a low level alarm for each hydraulic fluid reservoir to give the earliest practicable indication of hydraulic fluid leakage. Audible and visual alarms shall be given on navigation bridge and in machinery space where they can be readily observed. Crew was unable to demonstrate operation of low level alarm. 74 SOLAS (2004) II-1/29.12.2

0820- Protection Machines/Parts- Machinery shall be installed and protected as to reduce danger to persons on board, due regard to moving parts. Ventilation fan located in stern engine room is exposed without a guard, rendering a hazard to the crew. 74 SOLAS (2004) II-1/26.1
