Barge's stern was found to have a crack on the shear strake four feet inward from the STBD side. Temporary patch has been applied to the affected area. Barge is permitted to proceed with cargo to the Targa facility in Houston, TX. Upon discharge of cargo the barge is currently storing, vessel will proceed to Southwest Shipyard in Channelview, TX for permanent repairs. Permanent repairs must be approved by and made to the satisfaction of the local [name withheld] any of the above conditions change or the vessel is unable to comply with any of the stated items, the local OCMI shall be notified as soon as possible.
