The purpose of this regulation is to contain a fire in space or origin. For this purpose, the following functional requirements shall be met: the fire integrity of the divisions shall be maintained at openings and penetrations. PSCO observed the following “A” doors would not latch: 108, 134 and a hole in the “A” boundary bulkhead leading to steering gear room.

The vessel's most forward foam monitor was leaking water from 02 fittings on the main body and as a result was unable to provide sufficient pressure to throw 15 meters in still conditions as required by the Code.

The vessel did not notified the Coast Guard of it's inoperable speed log and has not requested a Deviation From the Rules.
Request an outbound Letter of Deviation and comply with any vessel movement restrictions that the Captain of the Port may impose.
