The purpose of this regulation is to maintain and monitor the effectiveness of the fire safety measures the ship is provided with. For this purpose, the following functional requirements shall be met. Fire protection systems and fire-fighting systems and appliances shall be maintained ready for use. PSCO Observed both CO2 bottles for paint locker not able to be activated due to handles being seized with excessive corrosion. Inspect System to ensure all components are working properly. Resolution: Vessel provided flag state inspection report and technician report attesting to repairs.
Any main and auxiliary steering gear control system operable from the navigation birdge shall be in the event of a failure of electrical power suply to the control system, an audible and visual alarm shall be given on the navigation bridge. Audible and visual alarm was not able to be activated on the bridge.
