The hospital must have a toilet, washbasin, and bathtub or shower conveniently situated. Toilet in hospital space was disconnected due to work being performed. Captain stated crew was waiting on delivery of parts to reinstall the toilet.

The machinery, boiler and other pressure vessels, associated piping systems and fittings shall be of a design and construction adequate for the service for which they are intended and shall be so installed and protected as to reduce to a minimum any danger to persons on board, due regard being paid to moving parts, hot surfaces and other hazards. The compressor or intake portion of the turbo and associated intake piping and manifolds for all four propulsion generators are not insulated posing a hazard to the persons on board as the surfaces were found to be at 238 degrees Fahrenheit during the time of the inspection. Provide heat insulation to all eight turbo intake portions piping and manifolds operating above 150 degrees Fahrenheit. SOLAS 74 (2014 Amend.) II/1/26.1
