Any required automatic sprinkler, fire detection and fire alarm system shall be capable of immediate operation at all times and no action by the crew shall be necessary to set it in operation. The vessel's fixed water mist fire extinguishing system was set in manual mode, and therefore, required action by the crew to set it in operation. 74 SOLAS (14) II-2/10.9.1.1.3 FSS Code Ch.8/2.5.1.1
