All marine engineering details, such as boilers, pressure vessels, main and auxiliary machinery, piping, valves, and fittings, shall be designed, constructed, and installed in accordance with the provisions of this subchapter. Observed the Main Gas Turbine A had severely corroded enclosure walls leaving large gap on lower section rendering the enclosure ineffective for its respective CO2 fire fighting suppression system. Main Gas Turbien A shall not be used until the enclosure structure is restored to its original strength as designed.

Each applicant for approval of plans must submit three copies of each of the plans, specifications, and structural calculations concerning the construction, arrangement, required equipment, and safety features of the unit as described in 33 CFR 107.305. These include General Arrangement, Hull Structure, Stability, Fire Control, Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Life Saving Equipment, Personnel Accommodations, Construction Portfolios, and the Operating Manual. The OCMI Office recognized on 4/14/22 that Portable Accommodation Modules (PAMs) were installed prior to CG Approval. Submit all approved plans for final review to the D8 OCMI Office and request inspection before occupying any of the three newly-installed PAMs.
