The condition of the ship and its equipment shall be maintained after survey to conform with the provisions of the present regulations to ensure the ship in all respects will remain fit to proceed to sea without danger to the ship or persons on board. PSCO observed excessive leaking of fuel oil and lube oil that saturated the lagging/insulation of the associated piping of the purifiers constituting a major fire hazard. SOLAS 74 (a) 2009 cons. I/11

Resolution: Class report received verifying the ship's staff removed all oil saturated lagging; piping in the area was examined, and leaking flanges have been overhauled (Gaskets renewed). All oil stains on piping have been cleanedm and piping found sat (no leaks).
