Vessel has two override locations for their machinery space fire protection "fireboy". Owner/operator placed instruction on upper and lower operating station to avoid confusion. Until a certified servicing company removes the second location on the upper deck. The main deck operating station is the only location that the generator can be overridden and restarted so the upper location was determined to be useless and causing an un-necessary risk for accidently override.

Resolution: Unnecessary second override panel was removed. Vessel can only restart their generator from the main operating station. The second override panel was causing confusion and faulty errors. System was tested and found in good working order.
