Before the ship leaves port and at all times during the voyage, all life-saving appliances shall be in working order and ready for immediate use. Both SART's expire MAR23 and requistion for replacements were ordered by crew in JAN23. However they are not scheduled to receive replacements until 21APR23. 74 SOLAS(20)III/20.2

Resolution: Recieved, reviewed, and accepted class report stating that the deficiency was rectified. Technition attened vessel and replaced the SART batteries in each device.

The main steering gear and the auxiliary steering gear shall be so arranged that the failure of one of them will not render the other one inoperative. Master notified VDO/PSCDO via email of emergency power supply failure of No2 Steering gear Hydraulic Electric driven Pump.
