The condition on the ship and its equipment shall be maintained to ensure that ship is fit to proceed to sea without danger to the ship or persons on board. Brick work in incinerator showed a lack of maintenance and was crumbling and broken.

Resolution: The refractory and brick work inside the incerator was repaired whitle PSC inspectors were on board.
