All Lifeboat food rations lack vacuum seal and are not stowed in a watertight container. PSC San Francisco Bay received a faxed receipt of the purchase of 30 lifeboat rations. However, the vessel is required to replace all 34 lifeboat rations. In addition, each lifeboat ration on the receipt is 3600 calories, converted to KJ, this does not meet the LSA requirement of 10,000 KJ per food ration.
