For this purpose, the following functional requirements shall be met: escape routes shall be maintained in a safe condition, clear of obstacles. PSCO observed portable A/C units on port and stbd bridge wings with supply duct connected to bridge wing doors and blocking clear access to bridge wing means of escapes.

The condition of the ship and its equipment shall be maintained to conform with the provisions of the present regulations to ensure that the ship in all respects will remain fit to proceed to sea without dangers to the ship or persons on board. On May 2,2018 during the engine room portion of the PSC exam the attending psco noticed excess water in the bilge due to a leak in the stern tube water tight seal.PSCOs then reviewed documentation dated 29MAR18 reporting 2208 liters/day of seawater collecting in the bilge.Company provided temporary procedures to minimize leakage on 11APR18.On 18APR18 0.20m3 of contaminated lube oil was drained and replaced with 0.22m3 lube oil. During the 34 day time frame from initial discovery of the leak until the PSC exam the vessel failied to notify their class society as per Chapter 13 of the vessel's SMS procedures for Management of Deficieny and Non-Conformity.

Resolution: Class society issued a satisfactory survey as well as mitigation measures.
In all cases stern tubes shall be enclosed in watertight spaces of moderate volume.
Due to a failure of the watertight sealing in the stern tube.

Resolution: Class issued a satisfactory survey as mell as measures to mitigate the current condition of the stern tube seal.
