BEFORE THE SHIP LEAVES PORT, ALL LIFE SAVING APPLIANCES SHALL BE IN WORKING ORDER. THE RESCUE BOAT FAILED TO START, THE CREW REPLACED A FUEL PUMP IN ORDER FOR IT TO WORK.

Action required: 17 - Rectify deficiencies prior to departure

Resolution: Crew replaced fuel pump, rescue boat operational, corrected on the spot.
