Watertight doors and hatch leading from the vessel's emergency escape trunk have a non-watertight gasket material. Additionally, the deck emergency escape hatch located on the starboard side was found wasted. Vessel shall install satisfactory gaskets to ensure that watertight integrity is maintained in the spaces identified.

(02) bridge buoy mechanical releases did not allow buoy to free fall as designed due to a sprinkler head mounted directly under the bridge buoys that inhibited the release flap of the buoy holder from deploying the buoy. Additionally, a wire cable attached to the flap of the of the buoy holder was not a sufficient length to allow the flap to open and release the buoy. Vessel shall ensure that both bridge buoys are stowed where they can be quickly released from the navigating bridge and fall directly into the water without striking any part of the vessel.
