1510- Navigation equipment. All ships shall have a properly adjusted standards magnetic compass, or other means, independent of power supply, to determine the ships heading. PSCO observed the magnetic compass deviated from the gyrocompass in excess of 15 degrees, greatly exceeding allowed deviation per vessel's deviation table. 50(a) 74SOLAS (14) V/19.2.1.1
