Fixed fire detection and fire alarm system installation shall be suitable for the nature of the space, fire growth potential and potential generation of smoke and gases. PSCO observed the testing of 02 smoke alarms in the engine room and neither activated.

An immersion suit shall be constructed with waterproof materials such that it can be unpacked and donned without assistance within 2 minutes; taking into account donning of any associated clothing, donning of a lifejacket if the immersion suit is to be worn in conjunction with a lifejacket. PSCO observed crewmembers unable to don immersion suits within 2 minutes.
