The fitting of fire detection as required by regulation 7.5.5.2 for the detection and extinction of fire in all spaces in which a fire might be expected to originate, generally with no restrictions on the type of internal divisional bulkheads. 74SOLAS(09)II-2/9.2.3.1.1.2. PSCO observed a smoke detection starboard side deck foreman office but not in the Port Side office. Both of these spaces contain space heaters (installed). Action taken 40ac.

Resolution: Verified that a new Smoke Detector was installed in the Portside Office. Tested the Smoke detector with artificial smoke to verify that it was in fact interlinked with the Alarm system. Verified that the Fire Control Plan was updated.
