0628 - Liferafts shall be packed in a containter that is as far as practicable watertight, except for drain holes in the container bottom. Both port and starboard liferaft containers are partially opened, leaving about an inch gap between the bottom lip and upper watertight gasket, thereby allowing water to enter the liferaft container.
