Resolution: Class/Flag report received and uploaded. Vessel completed repairs to lifeboat. Engine was dismantled, fuel injectors cleaned, filled with artic diesel fuel. Lifeboat fully operational and tested in water.

The condition of the ship and its equipment shall be maintained to conform with the provisions of the present regulations to ensure that the ship in all respects will remain fit to proceed to sea without danger to the ship or persons on board. Instead of using the bow thruster and engines, the docking pilot relied on 03 tugs to safely dock the vessel at the pier after the ship lost power. The root cause of the issue (loss of power and/or loss of propulsion) is unknown. 74 SOLAS (14) I/11(a)

ALL SHIPS 300 GROSS TONNAGE AND UPWARDS SHALL BE FITTED WITH A 9GHZ RADAR TO DETERMINE AND DISPLAY THE RANGE AND BEARING OF RADAR TRANSPONDERS AND OF OTHER SURFACE CRAFT, OBSTRUCTIONS, BUOYS, SHORELINES AND NAVIGATIONAL MARKS TO ASSIST IN NAVIGATION AND COLLISION AVOIDANCE. THE VESSEL'S 9GHZ, XBAND RADAR IS NOT OPERATIONAL.
