SOLAS (14) III/31.1.1 LSA Code 4.6.2 Cargo ships shall carry: one or more totally enclosed lifeboats compllying with the requirements of section 4.6 of the code. Every totally enclosed lifeboat shall be provided with a rigid watertight enclosure which completely encloses the lifeboat. Port lifeboat is no longer watertight due to damage to the hull which crew had attempted to patch.

SOLAS (2014) II-2/9.4.1.1.5.4 Fire doors in main vertical zone bulkheads, galley boundaries, and stairway enclosures other than power-operated watertight doors and those which are normally locked shall satisfy the following requirements: hold-back hooks not subject to central control station release are prohibited. Galley had both self-closing doors fitted with hold-back hooks. Crew removed devices.
