PSCO observed that during testing of permanent gas sampling equipment, the equipment was unable to draw suction from STBD ballast voids.

The normal equipment of every lifeboat shall consist of: a food ration not totalling less than 10,000kJ for each person the lifeboat is permitted to accommodate; these ratons shal be kept in airtight packaging and be stowed in a watertight container. PSCO obsurved all rations in both port and starboard lifeboats, totalling 60 rations, not in airtight packaging.
