Vessel reported the top left corner hinge of the #1 lifeboat came off with a crack in the fiberglass, also discovered was another fiberglass crack in the hatch frame. Vessel to provide a class report attesting to the proper permanent repairs to the #1 life boat. 74SOLAS(24)III-20.2

All openings in bulkheads shall be fitted with doors of steel, fitted so that the whole structure is of equivalent strength to the bulkhead. The means to secure weathertight shall consist of gaskets and clamping devices and shall be operable from both sides of the bulkhead. The door to the hospital space, and the port light in the cargo control office, were both found not properly sealed, and had rags and trays rigged to prevent the spread of water througout the space.
