Each ballast water management system manufactred under Coast Guard approver must have a name plate which is securly fastened to the BWMS and plainly marked by the manufacturer. BWMS did not have a name plate with approval number seurly fastened to the system.

07106 – Fire Detection and alarm system - Fire protection systems and firefighting systems and appliances shall be maintained ready for use. PSCO observed that a plastic bag was covering the flame detector in the incinerator space. Plastic bag was then removed, and PSCO witnessed a satisfactory test. SOLAS 74 (2014 cons.) II-2 / Reg. 14.1.1 10c

Resolution: PSCO observed that the plastic bag was removed from the flame detector, and the PSCO witnessed a satisfactory test of the flame detector.
