The condition of its ship and its equipment shall be maintained to conform with the provisions of the present regulations to ensure that the ship in all respects will remain fit to proceed to sea without danger to the ship or persons onboard. The pilot reported that while heading inbound to Port of Wilmington,Wilmington, DE, the vessel experienced a loss in hydraulic pressure. The vessel's crew slowed the main engine down as a precaution and were able to temporarily restore satisfactory hydraulic pressure to the vessel. Prior to departure from the Port of Wilmington, Wilmington, DE, causal analysis must be conducted and proper repairs completed, if needed. Coast Guard requires a class report to verify that the deficiency is fully rectified and that vessel is safe to proceed.
