PALU LNG is a 2014 tank ship. The Coast Guard has recorded 13 inspections since 2017, most recently in August 2026, along with 4 deficiencies — 1 with no resolution recorded — and 1 operational control.
Records from 2017 to 2026. Most recent: inspection, 17 August 2026.
Coast Guard record current through 23 August 2026, retrieved 5 September 2026 from PSIX. Every field on this page was recorded by the Coast Guard. Records for the Tank Ship class in Maury's sources begin in 2016.
Every line above is a count of records the US Coast Guard wrote, or a date it recorded.
A blank resolution means none was recorded in this data; it does not establish that a
deficiency is outstanding. Years with a record are calendar years in which a record
exists, not years in service. What Maury does
not do.
Tonnage as PSIX records it103885 - Convention (Subpart B), Gross Ton 89874 - Dead Weight, Metric Ton 122887 - Displacement, Metric Ton 31165 - Convention (Subpart B), Net Ton
This hull's Official Number is not in the NVDC file dated 10 August 2026 as served by NOAA Fisheries, so no documentation record is shown. Absence from that file is a fact about the file, not about the hull.

Issued 17 August 2026Resolved
Gas detection equipment should be so designated that it may readily be tested. Testing and calibration should be carried out at regular intervals. Suitable equipment and span gas for this purpose should be carried on board. Where practicable, permanant connections for each euipment should be fitted.
Gas detection point, GD073(double pipe for GCU), incapable of measuring 50% LEL, Detector reads 40% LEL, and activates alarm. and triggers MGV closure, but fails to balance. Recalibration produced no change in the dector's ability to accurately measure.

Gas fuel piping should not pass through accomodation spaces, service spaces, or control stations. Gas for fuel piping may pass through or extend into other spaces provided they fulfil one of the following; the double-wall piping system or the ventilated pipe, or duct provided for the gas fuel piping should terminate at the ventilation hood or casing required by 16.3.4. The double-wall piping system (ventilated type) is compromised by a hole located in the outer pipe between the GVU romm and the GCU, eliminating the double-wall protection. Piping does not terminate properly.
Action required: 50 - Rectify deficiencies w/in 30 days
Due 19 December 2018
Resolved 6 February 2019
Resolution: The subject deficiency is cleared; it has been determined that the vessel meets the requirements of 93 IGC code and ABS rules referred to by 46CFR154.
Ownership record
The Coast Guard's documentation record for this hull -- the Abstract of Title,
with its owners and liens as filed -- is not in PSIX. Ask, and Maury buys it from the National
Vessel Documentation Center, files it here with its date, and every reader of this page gets it.
