1410 - Propulsion main engine - In addition to the requirements contained elsewhere in the present regulations, ships shall be designed, constructed, and maintained in compliance with the structural, mechanical, and electrical requirements of a classification society. Vessel has a flange on the main sea water system that is leaking whichc has caused water to seep into the sump, leaving the main engine non-operational. Pipe connections between the main engine bed plate and hte lube oil sump tank require repair. 74 SOLAS (14) II-1/3-1

Port State Control Officers found an "MGO high temp alarm' on the MGO Advanced Cooling System Remote Control Panel for the Main Engine, and a "Chilling Alarm" on the panel for the auxilary engine. 74 SOLAS (14) II-1/26.1
