The electrical power available shall be sufficient to supply all these services that are essential for safety in an emergency, due regard being paid to such services as may have to be operated simultaneously. PSCO observed vessel’s temporary power pack shut down while adding load from the emergency switchboard. (74SOLAS(20) II-1/43.2)

Resolved 4 August 2023
Resolution: Caterpillar Tech attended vessel. Tech found controller to have wrong settings/loss of memory which was reprogrammed. Tech also found bad voltage rectifier which was replaced. PSCO observed load test on running generator satisfactorily.

Resolution: Vessel's crew installed additional bracket and welded metal stand to the deck to prevent temporary distribution panel from falling over due to heavy seas.
