Before the ship leaves port and at all times during the voyage, all life saving appliances shall be in working order and ready for immediate use. PSCDO was informed of a inoperable free fall lifeboat due to davit hydraulic winch actuator being defective.

Cables and wiring shall be installed dand supported in such a manner as to avoid chaffing and other damage. PSCO observed excessive corrosion in continuity cables attached to cable piping running out from 02 junction boxes. Additionally, junction box sealing was worn and pealing off on 02 junction boxes. SOLAS 74(a) 2014 (cons) II-1/45.5.5
