Resolution: Received, reviewed and accepted class report (Class: Lloyd's Register) and technicians's report (Technician: Radio Holland) from stating the deficiency was rectified. Vessel received parts for of S-Band radar and technician successfully repaired radar.

0615 Rescue Boats- Before the ship leaves port and at all times during the voyage all life saving appliances shall be in working order and ready for immediate use. PCSO observed crew was unable to start the rescue boat engine when directed. It took the crew approximately 40 minutes to start the engine. SOLAS III/20.2 - 17a

Resolution: Spark Plugs cleaned and checked, excess of gasoline removed from engine, all electrical connections verified, and fuel oil in rescue boat tank replaced. Engine successfully to the satisfaction of Class.
